Job Summary:
Responsible for directing personnel engaged in the day-to-day operations of performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures. These procedures include the applications of Diagnostic Radiology, Mammography, and Ultrasound atWinter HavenHospitalandRegencyCenterfor Women and Infants, Computed Axial Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology, and Ancillary-Front Desk areas. This position supervises technical, various support and clerical staff assigned to the above areas. Lead Technologists and Supervisors in the above areas will report to the Operations Manager. The Operations Manager will participate in the development of departmental policies and procedures, ensure all activities comply with the hospital and outside regulatory agency standards, and the like. Maintains and promotes good communications between all hospital departments which interact with these areas of responsibility. Acts as advisor for Imaging equipment and issues with the Family Health Centers. Maintains quality, safety, and cost effective operations throughout all areas of responsibility by monitoring performance and established quality parameters in each area. Knowledge and Skills Required:
Knowledge of anatomy andphysiology, computerized techniques, computer language, and business management practices specific to IR, CT, MR and general imaging
Full understanding of medical imagingpractices, equipment, maintenance, and functions
Knowledge of radiology practice and management
Thorough knowledge of hospital techniques
Knowledge of protocols and dose exposure in Computed Tomography and Radiology
Knowledge of ACR certification application and renewal processes in Mammography, Computed Tomography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Knowledge of Studer Group philosophies and employee empowerment and engagement techniques helpful
Analytical skill in order to review financial reports, prepare budgets, perform cost analysis, operational analysis, purchase supplies/equipment and manage inventory in a cost-effective manner
Interpersonal communication skills required to develop and maintain working relationships with other department managers throughout the system as well as effectively communicate with department personnel
Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office Excel helpful
Education and Experience Required:
Associate’s degree in a radiologic modality
Bachelor's degree in business, science or related field
Minimum of three years progressively more responsible work related experience
Two to three years of progressive management experience is preferred
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration Required
Must possessFloridalicense in a radiologic modality, additional certification in at least one of the following CT, MR, or IR required (Certification inARDMS, and/or NMCTB will be considered)

Ability to sit for long periods of time with visual acuity to work on computer monitor, read and decipher reports, etc.
Ability to assist in lifting and positioning patients up to 400 lbs. for up to twenty percent of work time and stand and walk for up to eighty percent of work time
Ability to wear respirator in exposure situations and according to department specific protocols
