          The Epic Credentialed Trainer is primarily responsible to deliver Epic system training in a variety of settings including classroom, at the elbow, private tutoring, etc. and to provide daily support for end users. The role involves classroom instruction through hands on demonstration and presentation of curriculum lesson plans and training materials. The position reports to the Principal Trainer and assists in the ongoing development of the training program for clinical end users. Credentialed Trainers are required to be knowledgeable of both the system and MHS specific clinical workflows and able to troubleshoot end user issues. The position will also provide assistance to the system analysts by reporting issues and participating in the testing and ongoing development of the system.

          To effectively fulfill this position, candidate must meet the following requirements:

          Ø Associates level education in computer science or a health care related field is required; nursing experience preferred;

          Ø A minimum of 5 years inpatient acute care work experience is required;

          Ø Experience in adult education is recommended; strong verbal communication and public speaking skills required and able to build rapport easily;

          Ø Must have strong interpersonal skills and able to work with a wide variety of customers including operational support staff, clinical support staff, clinicians, physicians, etc.; should possess a strong understanding of health care clinical workflows and of necessary clinical documentation in an inpatient electronic health record.
