Job Summary:
The Used Vehicle Sales Associate is directly responsible for selling vehicles to customers. The Sales Associate will provide customers with product information and excellent customer service to ensure a positive buying experience.
Job Responsibilities:
o Sell vehicles utilizing the AutoNation Sales Process
o Deliver vehicles to customers. Ensure the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork
o Demonstrate an understanding that business is built on customer satisfaction and being devoted to guaranteeing customer satisfaction
o Prospect on a day-to-day basis by phone, mail, and person to person - maintain a prospect development system
o Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction
o Forecast goals at the beginning of each month
o Understand the dealerships inventory on a daily basis
o Introduce customers to the Service Department personnel to emphasize to customers the quality and efficiency of the dealership's service operations
o Attend sales meetings and training sessions as scheduled
o Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product
o Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers
o Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards

Required Experience
Qualifications:
o Must meet company's requirements for employment
o Prior sales experience (preferred)
o Experience providing quality customer service
o Professional appearance
o Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
o Organization and follow-up skills
o Computer literacy
o Must have a valid state driver's license
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
o Normal office environment
o Prolonged periods of personal computer usage and data entry
o Ability to operate an automobile
o Exposure to inclement weather

Required Education
o High school diploma or equivalent
o 2 year or 4 year Business degree or related field is preferred
